Ambush U17 Red Champions of 2023 SCCL Cup

Recently, the Ambush SC 2007 Red U17 girls team participated in the 2023 SCCL Cup.  During the tournament, the Ambush girls outscored four different opponents by a combined score of 21-0 and were crowned champions! Congratulations to everyone involved with this team! The SCCL Cup is a National Cup qualifying tournament so the girls have earned their 2nd consecutive berth to the US Club Nationals in Denver, CO.  This will be only the 2nd team in Ambush’s 24-year history to earn back-to-back berths to a National Championship event!  Coach Doug commented, “This team is 'Ambush' through and through.  They are living proof of what Ambush teams, girls and boys, can do if they will stay together, trust each other, and build a team that can prosper for many years.  There are players on this team that have been together since U8 Jr. Academy.  The teamwork, friendships, team chemistry, and the will to succeed that this team has developed cannot be bought or found chasing leagues from place to place.  This is a very rewarding experience for everyone involved with this team.  As the girls now move into NPL league play, I can’t wait to see the final chapters of the story these girls write as they wind down their Ambush careers over the next 2 years.”  Job very well-done girls.  Go Ambush!!!
