Ambush Members,
We have exciting news for all Ambush members.
Part of our Academy program and all of our Select program became members of the Southeastern Clubs Champions League (SCCL) days before the COVID pandemic came into our lives in March 2020. Since then, SCCL has been very good for Ambush and our progression as a club. We have had SCCL division winners, 3 SCCL Cup winners, and 3 teams going to US Club Nationals in Denver, CO in just the past 2 years.
Based on the success the club has had at the SCCL level, we are happy to announce that the Alpharetta Ambush Soccer Club are once again going to take another step forward in our progression as a club. In the past couple days, we were accepted into the US Club Soccer National Premier League (NPL). NPL consists of 16 regional soccer leagues around the United States and Ambush will join the NPL South Atlantic Premier League! For the 2023-2024 soccer year, the Ambush U13 – U18/19 boys red teams will join the league. The Ambush U14 – U17 girls red teams will join the league. In 2024-2025, the U13 and U18/19 girls red teams will all join the league.
The NPL (SAPL) will consist of clubs in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama. Well-known clubs such as Charlotte Soccer Academy, Charleston Soccer Club, Wake FC, UFA, SSA, and Barca Academy are all part of the league. The league not only consists of a vibrant regular season of competitive games, but also includes an end of season tournament, showcase, and exposure event. This year’s event will be hosted in Atlanta rotating to North Carolina the following year. Winners advance to NPL national finals hosted by US Club Soccer in Denver, Colorado. More details on NPL / SAPL will be available over the next 4 to 6 weeks. Ambush is very excited to participate in this premier regional league and we look forward to challenging our players and coaches in this new elite competition.
Ambush Soccer Club will continue our vibrant relationship with the SCCL also. In 2023-2024 we project to have from 17 to 25 teams participating in the SCCL at levels ranging from Premier 1-4 up to SCCL Champions League. Our long term goal would be to progress where we have NPL / SAPL and SCCL Champions League teams in all age groups.
With the addition of NPL / SAPL, Ambush Soccer Club now offers a pathway to elite performance for players of all skill levels. Beginning as early as U5 Coed in our recreation program, players can advance over time through multiple layers of competition to NPL SAPL.
We hope everyone is as excited about this news as we are at Ambush. Providing our members with options and opportunities you've asked for will lead to much success for players and the club in the future. We look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts as we assemble the teams for all levels of play. With our club structure, coaching staff, and our fiercely loyal and forever dependable members, Ambush Soccer can be a place we all are proud to call home.
