Ambush Boys Selected for Atlanta United FC Training Program
Ambush Soccer Club would like to congratulate four Ambush academy players on being accepted to the 2018 Atlanta United FC Juniors Training Program. Atlanta United compete in Major League Soccer which is the primary professional soccer league in the U.S. Atl Utd also have one of the most progressive and successful youth academy programs in the country. As a new part of their program this Spring, Atl Utd are starting an early player identification system for U9, U10, and U11. After an evaluation and tryout of players from all over the State of Georgia, 20 players in each age group were selected to participate in this program.
In the U9 age group at Atl Utd's Junior Training Program, Ignacio Suarez and Omar Alothman from Coach David's Ambush B08 Red team have been selected. In the Atl Utd U10 age group, Ocean Lipscomb and Angel Garcia have been selected also from Coach David's Ambush B08 Red team. All four boys are also graduates of the Ambush Jr. Academy U8 program and we couldn't be more proud of these home grown Ambush players.
The boys will train once a week starting in March for a 10 week period. Training will be conducted at the Atlanta United training center in Marietta where the professional teams and all the other academy teams train. The boys will remain on their Ambush teams for all practices and games while also gaining this incredible training opportunity and exposure with Atlanta United FC. Atl Utd did a fantastic job setting up this program to provide opportunity to young players in the state of Georgia without impacting their ability to participate with their current club, team, and friends.
