Ambush Update

UPDATE AS OF MAY 14, 2020

With information we have received from the Alpharetta Recreation Parks and Cultural Services, we are anticipating a slow and gradual reopening of Webb Bridge Park on or around Friday, May 15.  At the same, it is expected that Georgia Soccer and other soccer governing bodies are going to remove the HOLD on return to play restrictions.  This is only the first step in actually getting back on the field in a responsible manner.

Over the next week, all eyes will be on Governor Kemp, State/Local Health Departments, and other Governing Bodies including the City of Alpharetta, for guidelines on "how" youth activities can once again start up in a reasonable and safe manner.  Once we have that information, Ambush operations will be able to move forward.

Ambush will always operate in an abundance of caution with coach, player, and spectator safety first and foremost.  Protocol is being developed at almost every level on "how" we can get back on the field.  Parents, players, coaches, and staff will all participate in the implementation of this protocol keeping everyone safe and once again returning to the soccer field for fun and games.

It is an incredible honor to be a long time service provider to the Alpharetta community.  We have every intention of continuing as a viable part of our incredible community.  We need your help however.  The need for parent volunteers is going to be a significant part of Ambush operations moving forward.  When called upon, please be ready to help with your player's team and  get Ambush Soccer back on the field when we are allowed to do so.  So please be ready and understand, we will go through a period of time where last minute decisions and change is possible.  This is our current environment and it's certainly a pretty heavy does of adversity.  But adversity is what Ambush members thrive on.  As some of our teams will tell you as their motto, "Adversity, Deal With It".  And with your help, that's exactly what we'll do.

Until we have more information from the governing bodies we can only anticipate future dates and events.   As stated, this requires us all to be nimble and ready for change.

At the moment we anticipate tryouts to be held as follows:

U8 to U13 projected dates are May 26, 27, 28

U14 to U19 projected dates are June 2, 3, 4

These dates are subject to change as we gather more health and safety information from the authorities.

Ambush are also making plans for a modified tryout process from what we've come to expect over the years.  This modified plan will be implemented if there are still social distancing and other health restrictions still in place when tryouts begin.  Again, please stay nimble and ready for changes.  We will do all we can to announce details as soon as possible and reduce change as much as we can.
